Testimony Spring Show 2001: Fairytale Showdown! (May 25)
This was one of the most enjoyable shows, in terms of preparing for and performing in it. Suzie and I spent some quality early morning hours working on the fliers again. Gosh, she's hilarious...one memorable event from that morning (May 21) was when a big beetle-looking thing flew over and landed on my keyboard upside down, and started spasming there between the Backspace and Insert keys. Suzie and I were trying hard not to either scream aloud or laugh hysterically (John was sleeping in the background). Anyway, the bug was flicked out the window in no time. Whew...too much excitement for two people at 3 in the morning. :)
Anyway, the show was a blast. People loved the choreography for "Dive" and "Testify" (go Joon and Kari!!). I had fun, too...and I think my solos were actually okay for once. Sarah and I had fun with Shelter of course... :)

JUNE 2, 2001 - Bryan turns 18.
Ahhh yes, so after the cool conversation (as always) with Kari, I returned to my room and slept for a few hours. Only for a few, though, because Testimony had plans to take me somewhere secret on my big day. So, at 11am, after a failed plan of rolling me out of bed, Kari, Liton, Tina, and Gavan took me off to Cupertino Village, where the rest of Testimony (sans Sarah and Joon) waited to have dim sum with me. Mmmmmmm...haven't had dim sum in so long. That was very cool. They certainly know what makes me happy. :) After that, there was pearl milk tea...also very good. And as if all that wasn't enough, they blindfolded me and drove me somewhere ELSE! And, blind, I followed and trusted their guiding hands. What a mistake... I heard children's voices and the sound of a splashing fountain, and still had no clue.
Kari: "Don't worry, you can trust us... Now, step up about 2-feet...feel that ledge with your hand? Yeah, now step on it. Good. Alright, now take another step down. Go ahead..."
Me: "But...but, I hear water down there. Well, whatever you say." Ugh, I'm gullible. :P Next thing I know, I am standing up to my knees in The Fountain. They led me back to Stanford and I had no clue. Anyhow, other members jumped in, we tooked pictures, frolicked in the fountain (and on the Claw), hopped into another fountain, and basically became the spectacle of White Plaza that day... But it was definitely fun. I love my friends in Testimony. Even if they can be so devilish at times. ;) And the day wrapped up with us sitting in the grassy Oval, singing, playing guitar, and pretending to study. Hahaha... That was one of the best birthdays I had ever had. I became a legal adult and spent the time with some of my closest friends. Life was good. :)
